Q&A with Peggy Grande, former PA to President Reagan

Peggy Grande, former PA to the 40th President of the United States Ronald Reagan, took time out of speaking at Executive Secretary LIVE in London to discuss what she learnt from her time in the Oval Office.

What did you learn from Ronald Reagan?

I learnt so much working for ten years with this iconic leader. I think that people have a very positive opinion of him. From a personal standpoint, even if you didn’t agree with him politically, he was exactly as you saw him; warm, kind and appreciative. He treated others around him with respect and he was very humble, as well as being extremely optimistic. He got the best out of people as he always anticipated that he would, and wanted to, see the good in everyone.

Most HR Directors have PAs now. How has the world of the PA changed over the course of your career?
