A third of employees experience mental health issues at work – a figure which has increased over the last five years.
Research from the CIPD found that 31% of the 2,000 employees surveyed said they have experienced a mental health problem at some point during their working life, compared with a quarter (26%) in 2011.
More than four in ten (42%) admit to experiencing issues over the past year.
In addition, employees don’t feel that mental health issues are supported well enough by their employers.
