Turkey’s state-owned Turkish Airlines has sacked over 200 members of their workforce – Turkish media have reported.
The dismissals are part of a purge of companies that are run by the state to weed out supporters of the failed coup just under a fortnight ago.
Approximately 250 cabin crew members were sacked, along with 100 management and administration staff – financial news website Thelira.com reports.
It was determined that they were linked to a religious movement that the nation’s President says attempted to take over the incumbent government, the newspaper Sabah says.
