Donald Trump worker takes blame for wife's 'stolen' speech

Melania Trump’s speech at the opening night of the Republican National Convention earlier this week featured the word-for-word repetition of phrases and themes that Michelle Obama, First Lady of the United States, used at the Democratic National Convention eight years previously.

Donald Trump’s campaign team have spent the days since denying that there were similarities between the two, but now they have issued a statement from Meredith McIver – who has ghostwritten for Trump before – saying that it was all a mistake.

She goes on to say that she offered her resignation, but Trump “told me that people make innocent mistakes and that we learn and grow from these experiences.”

Every employee fails at some point, and it’s up to HR to encourage staff to get up and carry on doing what they were doing.
