Staff from national supermarket chain Waitrose have been sent home after accusations were made regarding the disappearance of leftover food.
Employees at an outlet in Milngavie, Glasgow, were told to go home after suspicions were raised that they had been eating food customers left in the store's café.
According to The Sun, management at the store are believed to have seen the staff taking the food on CCTV.
A source told the publication: “There are 25 workers at the café and 17 of them were suspended on full pay after this came to light last week. One of them, a woman, was then sacked at a disciplinary meeting.
