Co-working creates a sense of 'community'

Co-working is the latest trend to sweep across the world of work.

John Duckworth, Lead Director - UK Occupier Services at JLL, says: “Such is the take up by different kinds of businesses that it can often group together a contrasting set of individuals; senior corporate staff can find themselves sat alongside entrepreneurs, allowing for a two-way flow of knowledge, advice and ideas.”

By the end of 2015, 7,800 co-working spaces operated globally (based on 2015 projections) compared to just 300 in 2009, figures from Deskmag.com suggest.

One example of this boom is the doubling in size in ‘WeWork spaces’ from 2014 to 2015, which now has 98 locations in 28 cities around the globe - Forbes reports.
