Worker fights for job after smashing window depicting slavery

An employee at the prestigious Yale College in America is currently battling for his job after smashing a supposedly racist window on the school grounds.

Corey Menafee was a dishwasher in Yale’s Calhoun College and had become frustrated with images on a window showing slaves carrying bales of cotton.

He explained to the New Haven Independent: “It’s 2016, I shouldn’t have to come to work and see things like that. I just said, ‘That thing’s coming down today. I’m tired of it'.”

Menafee was later arrested by police and now faces a felony charge, after he broke the window using a broom handle.
