Most workplaces will have one or two employees who go against the grain, but how can a savvy HR department discern between a difficult individual and an actual psychopath?
According to one expert there are eight tell-tale signs which determine if the boss, or the person sitting one desk over, has psychopathic tendencies.
“We know that only one per cent of the general population are psychopathic but the work of Robert Hare and Paul Babiak in their book, Snakes in Suits, alerted us to the fact that among managers this increases to seven per cent,” said Dr Kellie Vincent, MBA Director at Westminster Business School.
“The concern for all of us is that we may have psychopaths sitting at the next desk.”
