Sometimes you can sense when an employee is about to hand their notice in, other times it seems as if it’s come from nowhere.
But, according to a recent article by J. Maureen Henderson for Forbes, there are certain signs that HR should be able to pick up on that show they’re about to lose a key worker.
They’re not talking about the future
One of the main signals that could herald the departure of an employee is a lack of foresight. Henderson explains to Forbes the possible ramifications: “If one of your top performers isn’t mentioning plans that extend beyond the immediate, it may be because he doesn’t see himself sticking around past the end of the quarter, let alone until next year.
