CEO of 'UK's worst-performing train operator' still gets bonus

The Chief Executive of 'Britain’s worst-performing train operator' was paid more in a year than the overall fines the company received for delays, according to the Metro.

GoviaThameslink Railway - which operates Great Northern, Southern and Gatwick Express - has been forced to hand out over £2million in penalties in two years, according to the RMT.

Despite this, David Brown, CEO of GoviaThameslink Railway, was awarded £2.16million in pay and bonuses from July 2014 to June 2015.

Similarly, Finance Director Keith Down – who recently resigned – was given £1.26million over the same period, according to the Metro.
