Your workers choice of internet browser reveals more than you think…

The content employees browse on the internet is one way to identify who is working hard, and who is hardly working.

Exploring the world of the web deeper, the internet browser employees use is indicative of their commitment to and longevity in the workplace - according to a new study.

Research shows that users of the Firefox or Google Chrome browsers remained in their jobs 15% longer than those who used Internet Explorer or Safari.  

The study, led by Michael Housman, a Workforce Scientist in Residence at hiQ Labs, looked at 30,000 customer service agents in order to determine their commitment to their jobs.

Housman predicted that employee's work histories would be the main indicator of their job commitment. However, his results showed that employees who had worked five jobs in the past five years were no more likely to leave their positions than those who had stayed in the same job.
