Investment bankers told to take Friday nights off

Although the majority of us spend most of our week at work, when that Friday feeling comes around we know we’re on our way to two days of freedom.

But this is not the case for some of Canary Wharf’s investment bankers, who have instead been told by employers to leave the office Friday evening and to not return until Saturday afternoon.

To improve work life balance, bankers of Credit Suisse are being urged to leave the office by 7pm on Fridays, unless there is an emergency.  

In an attempt to soften the notorious hard working image of investment banks, the “Protected Friday Nights” scheme was introduced.
