BME NHS staff more likely to be bullied than white colleagues

A damning report has indicated that black and ethnic minority (BME) staff are more likely to report being bullied than their white co-workers.

The report, which was the first national review by NHS England and covers all NHS trusts in England, said that attitudes and behaviours need to change – the BBC reports.

Accordingly, the NHS has announced it will invest over £2million to address the matter.

Simon Stevens, CEO of NHS England, said the findings were “deeply concerning and a clear call to action.”
