But when it comes to our careers, we have to be even more careful of what we say, and how we say it. A recent article by Lynn Taylor, a national workplace expert and the author of ‘Tame Your Terrible Office Tyrant: How to Manage Childish Boss Behaviour and Thrive in Your Job’, revealed the top 29 phrases that you’re using at work that make you seem untrustworthy.

In an interview with the Independent, Taylor explained: “We sometimes fall into a trap of using trite phrases that engender frustration and mistrust.

“But trust is the cornerstone of any sustainable business relationship, so it's worthwhile to find ways to be authentic and professional with your team and managers.
