Firms urged to give staff time off to enjoy Euro 2016

With the highly anticipated Euro 2016 kicking off this summer, employers have been advised to let employees watch the games.

Advocating staff to be lenient during the football season, starting 10th June, is conciliation service ACAS.

The organisation has published a set of guidelines to prevent staff disputes if they want to watch their team play, according to the BBC.

ACAS advises employers to have agreements in place well in advance which allows staff to get cover for requested time off, use football streaming websites during work hours, and watch TV during the tournament.
