Diversity is an issue set deep within the heart of all HR executives, and one which receives more and more media attention every day.
So why did a tweet by Huffington Post’s Executive Editor Liz Heron create such an online backlash? She uploaded a photo of an editorial meeting with senior editors from across the publication. Heron captioned the picture: “Notice anything about this Huffington Post editors meeting?”
She was alluding to the fact that all of the employees present were women – a satirical take on equality and diversity problems in today’s workforce.
However, one Twitter user, Josh Offenhartz, pointed out another painfully obvious fact, replying: “It's 85% white women?”
