A former Facebook worker has blasted the company for what she claims is a top-down sexist and toxic culture, despite the public promotion of women at the top by COO Sheryl Sandberg.
The woman, who has remained anonymous, said bosses routinely pick on female staff, don't listen to their suggestions and routinely silence them – The Daily Mail reports.
"There is an extraordinary amount of talent on the team, but poor management, coupled with intimidation, favouritism and sexism, has resulted in a deeply uncomfortable work environment," she said in an opinion piece in The Guardian.
The woman worked as a curator on the company's 'Trending' news service, which recently came under fire for supposedly hiding conservative news.
