Chief Executive of Tesco, Dave Lewis, has been awarded an annual cash and shares bonus of £3million, following a rise in the supermarket chain's profits.
But lucky UK employees will also benefit from a pay out, with £185million being shared amongst 265,000 workers, accounting for approximately five per cent of each employee’s annual salary.
Following a £6.4billion loss in 2014 - the biggest in UK history - Lewis promised to reward workers to thank them for delivering the vital turnaround.
Tesco showed a return to like-for-like sales growth in the fourth quarter of last year, with Lewis beginning to improve Tesco's performance, following his predecessor Philip Clarke.
