It’s something of a given that the candidates everyone wants to recruit are the ones who aren’t job hunting.
As such, it’s often difficult to catch their attention, and your email becomes lost in a sea of buzzwords and industry jargon. One such recruiter took it upon himself to ensure that his email stood out from rest when he caught the eye of Paul Fenwick, a programmer from Melbourne, Australia.
Fenwick received a LinkedIn message from Weston Fillman, from People Operations at Google, which detailed all the skills found on his LinkedIn page.
The message read: “Hi Paul, I hope you’re having a good day. My name is Weston and I’m writing from People Operations at Google. I was doing some research and noticed that some of my colleagues have reached out to you in the past.
