Tiffany & Co. Catholic Marketing Director allegedly fired for controversial religious beliefs

A Catholic Director of Marketing at luxury jewellery retailer Tiffany & Co. is suing after allegedly being discriminated against for saying Jews killed Jesus.

Kristin Rightnour, who has since been fired, claims an innocent conversation with a Jewish and a Catholic co-worker over Easter plans had been taken out of context, the New York Daily News reports.

Rightnour’s Jewish colleague asked the two Catholics about Easter mass, according to her lawyers.

“Eventually, at her Jewish colleague’s request, Ms. Rightnour explained the crucifixion story,” the suit says.
