Happy staff the reason for profit rise, says LEON's Founder

Healthy fast food chain LEON has reported that their earnings have reached £2.26million this year (a 46% increase), according to the annual report.

The chain - which has taken the high street by storm with its fish finger sandwich, sweet potato falafels and superfood salads - says the increase was down to their good relations with staff.

Founder John Vincent says good relations with its 600 staff was the basis of the success; for example they received the National Living Wage three months before legislation made it compulsory, according to The Metro.

“Our own team members are like family to us,” he said, “that is why we have maintained benefits like free meals, paid breaks, and, in addition, significantly increased the discount on meals when not on shift.”
