Company creates internal Wikipedia for staff

A business has created an innovative way for employees to get to know each other and immerse themselves in company culture quicker.

eCommerce company Shopify has launched an “internal Wikipedia” for all staff, asking them how they like to work- according to the Financial Times.

Konval Matin, Director of Culture at Shopify, explained how the system works. Each employee has a personal profile page on which they can share information about themselves, as well as explaining how they like to work.

From here, other staff members can research their colleagues, finding out more about people, what teams they work on and gleaning what their personality test results might be.
