Marissa Mayer spends 'millions' to keep HR boss

Yahoo’s HR boss, Sandy Gould, is set for a multi-million pound payday on the behest of CEO Marissa Mayer, according to the New York Post.

Gould and his husband will now be relocated to New York City, away from their Californian headquarters, to “[supervise] culture and communication,” a source told the paper.  

The source added that: “[There was] no sense in the NYC move other than Sandy and [his] spouse wanted to live there. [Mayer] found out that he was going to work for someone she resents, and it literally drove her insane, so she made this crazy deal to keep him.”

At the beleaguered tech firms California headquarters, Gould is being replaced by executive John Matheny.
