Will humans always be vital to recruitment?

A recent report has revealed the likelihood of losing your job to a robot in the upcoming years.

National newspaper, The Echo has analysed a study by Oxford University academics, which rated the chances of 702 types of American jobs being usurped by robots in the near future. They then took those figures and cross referenced them onto the British landscape.

The paper now claims that more than 135,000 people in the Merseyside area face losing their jobs in a matter of years. Over half of these at-risk jobs fall into five broader categories; administrative work, secretaries, drivers, those in electrical trades and assembly line workers.

This means that 23% of the Merseyside’s workforce could be in line to be replaced by artificial intelligence in the next decade.
