Google has created a “start-up haven” in a bid to improve retention amongst its growing staff body.
In the techy-paradise that is San Francisco’s Silicon Valley, new start-ups are springing forth every day, many of which have been launched by exceptionally talented ex-Google employees- which is great for the technology revolution, but no so good for Google itself.
In an attempt to prevent talented employees from leaving, Google has launched Area 120, a start-up incubator which allows workers to pursue their own personal projects full-time.
Anyone who wants to sign-up has to submit a business plan and then spend months working purely on that one idea.
