New research from Glassdoor has found that UK employees are more confident than ever of receiving a pay rise.
41% of those polled said they foresaw a pay increase in the upcoming 12 months, up four per cent from the last quarter, although women were behind men when it came to financial expectations.
There was a one per cent hike in those who saw a brighter company outlook (40%, up from 39%) and a two per cent uplift for re-hire probability (34%, up from 32%).
However, staff are more concerned about being made redundant; worries about themselves and others losing their job saw a confidence drop of six per cent in each, down from 32% and 44% respectively.
