Why corporate philanthropy is essential for engagement

A strong corporate philanthropy programme is essential for employee engagement, according to The Sage Foundation.

Technology company Sage has announced that it will sponsor the upcoming Invictus Games Orlando 2016, as well as entering into a multi-year partnership with the Invictus Games Foundation. The partnership will see the UK’s biggest tech company support the Games, starting with the Orlando event in May 2016 and beyond.

Speaking to HR Grapevine, Sage’s Chief People Officer, Sandra Campopiano, said programmes which demonstrate a company’s empathy make them more relatable to employees.

“Having a strong corporate philanthropy programme is essential for any business that wants to keep colleagues engaged,” she said.
