A recruitment company has posted a job ad which describes the role as "meaningless, repetitive work on the .NET stack."
The ad, from Australian company Just Digital People, was posted on the job hunting website Seek and stated: “Someone has to keep the cogs turning on mission-critical infrastructure in large enterprises where all hope has been lost.”
The role requires a specialist in IT with experience in "NET, ASP.NET, JavaScript, VBScript, COBOL, Managed COBOL," and was ironised throughout: “Grease the wheels of capitalism with your tears, secure in the knowledge that we will pay you handsomely for your soul.”
Despite the humour within the ad, the recruiter said: “Normally I only work with organisations that value professional software development and professional software developers - but this one just paid too much to say no.”
