Britain's workers are choosing to work through lunch, with a new study naming high workloads and pressure to impress the boss as major contributors.
Lunch breaks improve concentration, increase productivity and reduce stress; however, over 60% of workers miss lunch up to twice a week, and eight per cent do not take a lunch break at all.
Guilt was also found to be a contributing factor in workers reluctance to escape the workplace for an entitled lunch break.
18-24 year olds are most likely to purposely skip lunch, in order to look willing to their superiors, with 16.3% admitting they believe they won't look committed enough if they take the break.
