The reality of remote working: staff using their bed as a desk

One in ten employees work from their bed when working from home, a survey has found.

A fifth also admitted to working from their sofa instead of sitting at a desk or a table, the research from the British Chiropractic Association established.

While this may sound innocuous, it can affect the health of staff.

Kay Pearce, a Chiropractic Doctor at Maristow Chiropractic Clinic, said: “The reality of modern working lifestyles means that many more workers are often spending long days in front of a computer screen, either in the office or working remotely and not doing enough to prevent serious strain on their backs.
