The 'ice cream' interview question that has candidates stumped

When it comes to interviews, you can prepare a candidate for a whole host of possible blunders.

However, as a recruiter, how would you train an applicant to answer a bizarre, seemingly off-topic question?

Yasmin Green, Head of Research and Development at Jigsaw – formerly known as Google Ideas – has one particular quandary she likes to throw at potential hires. During the recent Marie Claire's Power Trip summit, a woman’s networking event, she was asked for her favourite interview technique.

Her reply was that she liked to ask candidates: “How would you make money from an ice-cream stand in Central Park?”
