Equality and Human Rights Commission caught out with race pay gap

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is paying their white employees more than their black employees, figures show.

The average black staff member earns £37,170, while their white colleagues make an average of £40,388 annually, according to data sourced by The Sun.

The data, which was acquired under the Freedom of Information Act, also showed a pay discrepancy for disabled workers – who earn an average of £35,988 compared to their non-disabled counterpart’s average salary of £40,898.

The EHRC has responsibility for enforcing equality and non-discrimination laws across the United Kingdom, with a spokesperson reporting they are working to reduce their pay gaps.
