Fast food giant McDonald's has undergone a makeover, redesigning its recruitment campaign to include a Japanese anime movie.
The restaurant has seemingly veered away from its earlier food-centric marketing strategy to incorporate a more inspirational – and somewhat twee – advert.
The Japanese “Crew ni Narō” recruitment campaign, meaning “Join the Crew,” tells the tale of Sumire, a candidate looking to forge a career at the company. The artistic advert follows the young apprentice as she learns the ropes and is watched over by a capable mentor.
