Why is it important to have a company culture that transcends borders?

Think about the workplace today. Pick an office. We’re typically working at a very diverse workplace, especially in Europe, the UK and the US. You are looking at multiple cultures being represented in a single workplace, in a single physical location. Which should be the cultures that we cater to? Can we pick a culture and say we prefer this culture over this culture? Or, should we have an overriding company culture that transcends your personal culture and what happens in your personal life?

That culture has to value diversity. It has to fair. It has to be engaging. It has to be all those things to be ahead. That is a way of tackling globalisation and moving towards these very diverse workforces. If you have a common corporate culture and if it is strong and rich enough, then it can overcome all these obstacles.
