Apple engineers would rather quit than comply with FBI decryption orders

Even if the FBI are victorious in their court battle against Apple and get the tech colossus to decrypt the iPhone they wish to access, they may face obstacles from employees there, the New York Times reports.

They interviewed previous and current Apple staff, with some saying they may balk at the task while others contemplate the concept of resignation rather than the undermining of technology they helped create.

Most interviewees worked in the development of mobile products and security, but some were former security engineers and executives.

This news indicates a company ethos that is so cemented in the hearts and souls of staff that they would disobey the law that contravene the philosophy that dictates their workplace.
