J Walter Thompson CEO accused of racism and threatening to sexually assault employee

The CEO of a world leading advertising agency allegedly referred to black people as “monkeys”, said that he hated Jews and told a female colleague that he wanted to rape her.

Erin Johnson works as the Chief Communications Officer at the ad agency J Walter Thompson (JWT). She is now accusing the company CEO Gustavo Martinez of an “unending stream of racist and sexist comments as well as unwanted touching and other unlawful conduct,” according to a lawsuit filed in New York, the Wall Street Journal reports.

Additionally, the lawsuit alleges that Martinez had on numerous occasions grabbed Johnson by the throat or by the back of her neck while talking to her and of saying “Come here [Johnson], so I can rape you in the bathroom.”

However, the gender discrimination lawsuit claims that Johnson was not alone in facing the “unending stream of racist and sexist comments”.
