Creating a company ethos that staff can be proud of may seem like an outlying factor contributing to company success, but for Toyota GB PLC creating a culture of pride is crucial in achieving companywide success.
Recently named one of the UK’s top 100 companies to work for in The Sunday Times Best Companies Survey, Toyota Director of HR and Corporate Operations Robin Giles told HR Grapevine that staff engagement was two tiered at the car company.
While Toyota provide a wide range of staff benefits, training and competitive compensation, it’s their work outside the company that keeps staff dedicated to furthering the company’s ethos with 89 % saying they are proud to work for the company .
“Toyota has a spirit and culture of "Always a better way" and our staff continually look to improve the business and make sure we do things better,” Giles said.
