Facebook give staff bonuses worth 12x HRD salary to cut taxes

Mark Zuckerberg’s company is going to give its UK employees an average of £775,000 in bonuses in a bid to slash taxes.

According to Payscale.com, the average HR Director earns £65,174 annually. Divided by £775,000, this works out as just under 12 times the average salary of an HR Director. 

The news comes days after the tech giant agreed with the HMRC to pay more tax on ad sales in the UK.

Facebook has previously routed its ad sales via Ireland to keep them out of reach from the British taxman. But that is now going to change.
