Britain’s police officers are being told to battle their bulge, with overweight police officers receiving a set of novel instructions on how to lose weight.
The tips are contained in a five point fitness plan printed in the Metropolitan Police’s staff magazine, The Job.
But far from jogging and eating salad, the plan encourages officers to get active by moving furniture around, washing windows, tobogganing, snowball fights and building snowmen.
The guide was compiled by Sean Burgess - a former NHS Nurse and Safety Advisor to BP, who is now the force’s Head of Occupational Health.
