Mass recruitment drives pose sizable problems for HR professionals, with sourcing large numbers of potential employees just the first in a series of logistical hurdles.
The Palace Hotel in Manchester recently began recruiting 121 new employees to mark their 121st birthday, with Tim Rawson, Director of HR, telling HR Grapevine about their wide-reaching and inclusive system of hiring.
“Manchester has lots of candidates, which is not always the case that you have enough candidates,” Rawson said.
“The hurdle then is you have a huge volume of applicants, so filtering those requires some imagination.”
