Reddit users reveal the moment they started hating their job

A recent thread on Reddit posed the question: “What work moment made your attitude go from proud employee to ‘I'm just here for the pay-check’?”

The responses ranged from tongue-in-cheek to downright depressing, highlighting the need for mediation and communication in the workplace.

One Reddit user, named LBJsPNS, claimed that his managers were entirely unsympathetic when he was diagnosed with a life threatening illness. He wrote: “When the owners and GM looked at my prostate cancer as a major inconvenience - for them.

"When they b****** about my being out for cancer surgery - and I'd been out less than two weeks. When I was back after two weeks wearing a f****** diaper because I was afraid of losing my job because of cancer.”
