All eyes were on Hollywood yesterday as the film industry’s night of nights brought glamour, gossip and a distinct lack of diversity.
As the row over #oscarssowhite reverberated around the world, HR professionals can stand to learn from the scandal surrounding the lack of diversification amongst those nominated for an Academy Award, according to WCN Marketing Director Tommy Lai.
“While many organisations continue to struggle to achieve a completely diverse workforce, studies show a clear link between increased diversity and higher revenue,” Lai said.
“Diversity not only plays a major role in creating a forward thinking and proactive organisation, but it also has an impact on brand reputation and success.
