Vicky Bryant, Head of HR at Genix Healthcare, discusses the importance of apprenticeships. 

What can HR do to encourage the uptake of more apprentices?                          

The key thing is identifying what apprenticeships are out there that can support the business functions. For example, we have taken on customer service apprentices, business administration apprentices and dental nurse apprentices. It’s about finding the key apprenticeships that can support the areas in your business. We have people within our head office that started out as customer service apprentices and are now training within the finance function and doing their qualifications.
