Randstad: The future of HR recruitment is arduous

It’s getting tougher and tougher to recruit high-quality HR professionals…

Analysis of Office for National Statistics data carried out by Randstad In-House Services found that the average HR professional’s salary dropped 18% between 2002 and 2014 to £31,377.  

However, the aggregate wage bill rose, indicating that headcounts are rising. Between 2002 and 2006 it fell by one per cent. During 2007 through to 2010 it declined 14.8%, but the years following the recession have seen it rise by 9.7%.

Sally Clearly, Managing Director of Randstad In-House Services, put this down to “an explosion in the volume of HR jobs.”
