The benefits of flexible working are well-documented, but some employers are still not maximising the benefits of it.
Vodafone’s ‘Flexible: friend or foe?’ survey found that 20% of companies are yet to implement a flexible working policy.
When pressed why, 33% said they did not believe it would suit the culture of their organisation; 30% were concerned about friction between those who utilise this policy and those who don’t; 25% believed work would be unfairly distributed between both sets of employees; and 22% thought people who worked flexibly would not work as hard as those who didn’t.
However, the research suggests that this will soon change - 75% of companies have introduced the scheme.
