When sourcing talent, recruiters may want to ensure their own and their clients’ offices have a friendly atmosphere.
Having a welcoming office environment may not only make your current employees feel right at home, but could also help with recruitment as 81% of jobseekers would reject job offers if they don’t like the workplace. That is according to a survey carried out by OfficeBroker.com.
41% said a fun and modern office design was the most important element of their work environment, 32% said natural light and colour would make them chose an employer too. 17% wanted motivating and inspiring break-out areas and ten per cent would be wooed by free coffee and snacks.
Chris Meredith is the CEO at OfficeBroker.com. He says: “If employers do not invest in creating quality work environments, it can make attracting talent difficult. The old cliché of first impressions counting at job interviews actually works both ways as this poll shows.”
