Do you think that hierarchal frameworks are outdated in HR today?
“Two-thirds of Britain’s workforce are millennials, and they don’t care about pay, hours or contracts. They are more motivated by purpose and shared values than the generations before them. Following hard lines and hierarchical frameworks that formalise how and where people can share ideas is at odds with the millennial mind-set. When it comes to purpose, these rigid structures should be relaxed in favour of something a little more reciprocal.
“To give your people the freedom to challenge how your business makes decisions, develops new products or speaks collaboratively with customers, you must give them the permission. This enables them to innovate freely, seeing new opportunities that amplify the organisations purpose. It gives them a voice within the business and the evolution of its brand, at every level, in every role.
