HR executives should take inspiration from Abraham Lincoln and realise that “the best way to predict your future is to create it.”
That’s according to Eddie Short, Senior Partner at Aon Hewitt, who thinks by bringing HR back to being ‘champions of people’ while embracing the technological revolution, HR can make a real difference in the Boardroom.
Speaking to HR Grapevine, Short says: “The fundamental message that we are trying to get across is that despite all the constant change that happens in business, the key assets for most businesses have got to be the people and their data – the intellectual property of those people.
“I think HR really needs to re-grasp the concept of being the champions of people.”
