Why HR is not doing enough to drive innovation

The average UK employer misses 18,000 opportunities a year to boost their bottom line by not listening to their staff’s ideas. That is according to Wazoku’s EveryDay Innovation Report.

Simon Hill is the CEO at Wazoku. He urges HR departments to do more to reward innovation.

Speaking exclusively to Executive Grapevine, he says: “Often businesses have reward cultures for service and excellence and yet innovation is ignored. A truly innovative organisation places huge value on innovation and rewards it.”

Hill suggests that HR departments who promote innovation will improve their chances of both engaging and retaining staff.
