Apple CEO Tim Cook comments on improved diversity figures

Apple has released a new report highlighting a slight improvement in diversity figures.

The report revealed that Apple employed 72,494 people in 2015, an increase from the 59,869 people working for the company in 2014.

The percentage of women in the company has increased by one per cent, from 17,165 in 2014 to 21,751 in 2015.

The company is still predominantly white, with that population increasing from 36,724 in 2014 to 43,102 in 2015. The second largest ethnicity was Asian, which went up from 9,759 to 12,583. Latinos were the third largest ethnic group at Apple, with their numbers increasing from 6,887 to 8,490.
